Among the fabulous megayacht that has been on displace at the Monaco Yacht Show, Irisha by Heesen Yachts must have a special place.
It has his world wide preview during the show and has a very special story.
Founded on the proven engineering platform of Heesen’s 5000 Aluminium class, semi-displacement fully-custom 51m Irisha is a fast and furious yacht with a top speed of 26.2kn. Her radical profile, driven by the owner’s desire for something “fairly aggressive and dynamic” gives her a distinctive edge on the water. Her impressive fighter-jet inspired exteriors and luxurious interiors have been penned by renowned British designers, Harrison Eidsgaard.
Undoubtably her most impressive design feature, Irisha’s sporty raised wheelhouse is constructed of 3D curved glass sheets, which are among the largest produced in Europe. Her top is Snow White in colour, while the main deck is a Midnight Blue, the hull features a custom metallic colour Pacific Blue which in sunlight changes from metallic blue to dark olive-green hues.
Family and entertaining are at the centre of this yacht, where wood, soft textiles and textured fabrics result in a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The relaxing interior design features varying shades of light and dark grey (the Owner’s favourite colour) with beige and blue accents.
Among her many remarkable design features, the sky lounge is equipped with a cinema screen and projector for film nights, and served by a wet bar for the ideal socialising hub. The main deck is characterised by a spectacular indoor-outdoor winter garden, with sliding glass doors and features a living area with a generous dining table, seating 14 with an extension to accommodate for 22 guests.
The Owner’s stateroom is characterised by a hand-felted silk bedhead by Dutch artist, Claudy Jongstra, which adorns the headrest and adjacent to the bed is a private French balcony with sliding glass doors.
The Owner’s bathroom offers his and hers walk in wardrobe, a central wengé bathtub with onyx and marble throughout. Irisha can also accommodate eight guests on the lower deck in two double suites and two twins, with the option of converting the twins into doubles or into a VIP with seating area thanks to a sliding partition.
