Floating Life’s Multi Share

The astute way to enjoy a superyacht

Nothing compares to the sense of freedom, exclusivity and privacy of owning a private luxury yacht. Yet increasingly ownership is plagued by new rules and regulations, escalating maintenance and berthing fees, and crew whose demands are becoming ever more challenging. Chartering, as an alternative, can prompt unexpected fees, unfamiliar crew and the lack of control that comes with the status of a mere guest.

Having run a fractional yacht ownership fleet for the last nine years, Floating Life is now launching an improved concept allowing clients flexible access to an extremely modern fleet of three 43m yachts.

This is why Floating Life has positioned itself to provide a new and financially sound way to experience the joy of yachting. Floating Life is introducing two different ways of being part of the program; the first one through the acquisition of the yacht share (Ownership), the second through a long term usage contract (time-sharing). Both options will give access to the same calendar and usage rules, but they will differ in the tax declaration and responsibility of the asset property.

Each yacht will be permanently crewed and serviced in the Mediterranean and in the Caribbean. All operating costs and maintenances will be covered by a fixed annual fee for the eight-year program, and you may even charter out your selected weeks and receive the net revenue if you are unable to use them.

Service:

Crew will be handpicked to ensure that they are keen, reliable and fully trained. Onboard will be a captain, first officer, engineer, chef, stewardesses and deckhands.
The Floating Life Technical Team will be able to provide dedicated assistance, arranging for parts and technical purchases, liaising with Class and Flag State, and overseeing the overall maintenance guaranteeing the perfect efficiency of the yacht.

Costs:
 compelling financials
All operating costs (except for individual usage costs) are shared between owner, pro-rata of their share in the yacht. As a client, one benefits from cruising time in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Alternatively, one can charter out unused weeks through the Floating Life Charter & Brokerage Team, and receive the net open-market weekly rate.
Time-sharing clients will pay a programme participation annual fee to the Owning Company that will invest the total amount in maintenance and yacht management.

Brand new fleet built for long-distance cruising
Designed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the modern, dynamic lines of these 43-metre yachts will have a range of 5,400 miles and are perfectly suited to long-distance cruising. Great care has also been devoted to the yacht’s environmental sensitivity, the fuel efficiency and a low environmental impact during the construction process.

The interior layout features generous proportions, deck space and several innovative solutions. Relaxation and sunbathing areas are numerous with the owner having access to an entire deck and an infinity pool for guests can be found aft on the upper deck. The main deck layout allows a large dining room and impressive sun area, which can also be converted to house a 9-metre tender dedicated to guests.
The Owner Suite will be located in the larger part of the hull to give maximum comfort.
The Lower Deck stern area, which connects the five guest cabins, will offer a beach club area that can be converted into a cinema and bar.
The build of the first yacht in the fleet will start within 24 months and then proceed with the following two constructions with a schedule of 12 months between each build.

  1. Wow, such attractive yachts. When I get my next yacht I will probably share ownership of it.
