Eberhard & Co., Blue Emotions

In 130 years, Eberhard & Co. wrote many chapters in watchmaking history and, thanks to the Scafograf, the underwater world plays an important role.
Back in 1958 Eberhard & Co. registered the name Scafograf, and the following year it presented the first two models that were designed for diving. The brand’s connection with the deep culminated in 2016 when the Scafograf 300, which came out that year, won the award for best sports watch at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

Today the collection has three references

• The Scafograf 300 features a stainless steel 43mm case that is water-resistant at a depth of up to 300 metres, with a ceramic bezel with luminescence on the first quarter of the chapter ring, a convex sapphire crystal and a helium escape valve at 9 o’clock.
• The black dial has luminescent applique hour markers and a date window at 3 o’clock. The Scafograf GMT version, which was first presented in 2017, likewise has a ceramic bezel and 43mm stainless steel case which is waterproof at up to 100 metres. Its additional features include a triple time zone which is powered by the calibre ETA 2893-2 with soigné finishes. It comes in either blue or black.
• Black, not surprisingly, is the colour of “The Black Sheep”, a GMT limited edition.
