Custom Line 120

The Ferretti Group is known for its commitment to innovation and quality, and its Custom Line has been on the cutting edge since 1996. The latest in the planing series, the Custom Line 120’ project, draws inspiration from the technological and stylistic connection between Offshore craft, car design, elegant residential architecture and the aeronautical industry.

The first Custom Line created by the Francesco Paszkowski Design studio, it features a sleek, streamlined profile with a striking combination of colours and materials in the light surfaces of the structure and the dark windows.

The taut lines run from bow to stern. The hull bottom is defined by a bow extension to reduce drag and cut fuel consumption. The hull design drew inspiration from racing yachts to combine lightness and robustness. The full-length windows on the main deck result in bright interiors and a close contact with the sea, while the side windows on the flybridge shelter the sun deck.

The interiors are influenced by the owner’s stylistic choices, and the solutions offered by the Paszkowski studio creating the effect of a regal contemporary villa.

The glass door providing access to the lounge is inclined at 45° and the classic sliding mechanism is complemented by a tilting system that enables the door to be integrated into the ceiling, creating an 80 square metre opening between cockpit and lounge.

Large curtains can be used as partitions and teak floors provide a striking backdrop to the overall scheme. The lounge floor is raised with floating sections to enhance the view of the sea, the side windows create the atmosphere while the support columns incorporate lighting, audio and air conditioning systems.

The lobby provides access to the exterior walkway leading to the owner’s suite or below decks, while there is access on the opposite side to the pantry and from there to the galley and the crew quarters forward with dinette, captain’s cabin with private bathroom, hostess cabin and two twin cabins with private bath.

The owner’s suite occupies 35 square metres and features a dressing room and full-beam bathroom with twin facilities, vanity and central shower. A panoramic terrace can be included on request.

The two VIP cabins are on the lower deck aft. Here, the beds face the bulwarks, an arrangement that, thanks to the hull windows, creates a spectacular view. The other two guest cabins are located forward and each features a bathroom with all comforts. There are also connections in the exterior areas, just as ancient houses often had secret passages. These allow the spaces to enjoy a useable area of 100 square metres. The flybridge is linked to the bow area by side corridors, and there is also access from the flybridge.

The dinette, situated in the extreme bow, provides access to two sunpads flanking the walkway. The panoramic deck is designed to provide total privacy. The relaxation area has a hydromassage pool, and when necessary a retractable bimini in the hard top with skylight will provide shade for those enjoying this part of the yacht. Clean lines under way are created by a patented Dual Mode Transom system, with two hatches hiding the stairs to the cockpit when the yacht is cruising. When the craft is at rest the stairs run through the garage door, where a 5.65 tender and three-seater jet ski are stowed.

In line with the Custom Line 120’s prestigious nature, its propulsion and acoustic comfort are of an extremely high standard – the twin 2638 Mhp 16 V MTU 2000 M96L engines provide a normal cruising speed of 21 knots and an economical cruising speed of 11 knots, with a range of 1,100 nautical miles.
